About Me

I’m a freelance communication graduate based in the North of England.

I support businesses and organisations with their marketing and communications — helping you share your message, values and events clearly, consistently, and creatively

My background is in media and communications, with experience in creating content, campaign support and communication that engages your audience

MY EXPERIENCE

Media and Communications
Degree

Newcastle Racing Communications Lead

Lakeland Climbing Centre PR and Marketing Assistant

Charity Event Coordinator and Promotor

I have an honours degree from Newcastle University in Media, Communications and Cultural Studies. I tailored my degree focus to Public Relations, and voluntarily designed posts for and ran social media accounts for a Latin and Ballroom Society

I built a strong presence for a racing team, setting up and running multiple social media accounts across platforms including content ideas, execution, editing and scheduling. I also aided in building a website and regularly updating it. I liaised with relevant stakeholders to gain the team a podcast appearance and a video-interview collaboration. This gained the team traction that allowed them to garner sponsors and more team members

I was brought on to bring a fresh perspective to an already existing team and established business. I helped to facilitate and execute successful collaborations with relevant stakeholders that increased the reach and reputation of the business. Since my arrival the social media channels grew in popularity and engagement, with Instagram engagement increasing by over 90% .

I collaborated with multiple stakeholders to plan, organise and promote a multi-talent charity showcase that involved musicians and dancers. This involved planning, creating and posting social media content, admin duties such as risk assessments and venue/equipment hire, managing stakeholder relationships as part of a team and ensuring the event ran smoothly. The event was a success with many talented artists able to showcase their talents and over £150 raised for charity

TESTIMONIALS

She brought a fresh, well-informed approach to our PR strategy across a number of different channels, and her influence was quickly recognised both internally and externally. What really helps Kat stand out is her infectious enthusiasm. She comes to the table brimming with new ideas and approaches.
